  1. I can still remember users deriding MySpace 1.0 as its cut-and-paste HTML design produced a lot of sprawling abominations. They claimed Facebook was more neat, and clean. I agreed, once, but Facebook’s own design seems to have suffered– I’ve seen a lot of Timelines that looked just as sprawling and messy. Myspace 2.0 may not be having much of an impact, but it looks cleaner than it once was, and I think Timberlake was wise to revamp to a music focus, which it pretty much had already.

You know I’m similarly wary of Google taking the advantage here, and you also know I’ve been observing how they are doing this aggressively to press people into using G+.

  2. Official facebook mobile applications _still_ don’t support showing or making replies to comments, they seem to be working to make me avoid looking at thing with many replies on my phone.

Since facebook is getting closer to twitter in only showing me stuff from the last little bit, (though unlike twitter – out of time order), I will likely not find that post again.

With the new app permissions requiring facebook have access to send/receive my sms messages, I think I will move to using the mobile website, then later to not really using it for anything other than group events.
