  1. Thanks so much for this post! You’re a life saver. Photo maps was my favorite Instagram feature. I was going to quit Instagram after they pulled photo maps but now you’ve given me a reason to stay! Thanks for sharing :)

  2. You’re most welcome, Andrei. The map takes a little while to load, but once it does, you can zoom in and out as you could with the Instagram one. Like you, this was a favourite feature, and I find all its new features—e.g. Stories—largely useless.

  3. Hey Jack, thanks for sharing this. I finally used https://destipod.com to plot all my Instagram photos on a map. I hate Instagram for killing photo maps. I only used it for my travels -.- :D

  4. Thanks, Matty. I tried using Destipod just now and all it would do is say it was importing my data (‘We collect your posts. This may take a while to complete!’) but my map remained blank with no destinations added at the end of the “import”. I’m glad it worked for you; sadly it doesn’t for me.

  5. Hey Jack, it took me some time, too. I used the app for iOS. For nearly 1000 pictures it took about 20 minutes to complete.
