Our ability to create fraud has always exceeded the public’s ability to detect it, else fraud would’ve ceased to exist long ago. But now, every illiterate child with access to a PC can create it – while looking erudite – and send it around the world at lightning speed, faster than he can open and hook up a bank account.
I wonder if we’ll all be able to tell what’s been written by ChatGPT et al, just as we can tell what a spun blog looks like.
