Anyone getting these errors with Vivaldi? Sometimes I get them after I boot up Vivaldi and it works for a short period. Other times, they occur when the computer is booted up.
Basically, this DLL goes missing without any human intervention. I used to reinstall, but I eventually found it unnecessary. Because we’re talking about computers, you should repeat the same action and expect a different outcome. You may need to click ‘OK’ on the error and reload the program several times. The maximum so far is 11 times but I think this is why they call it Windows 11.
Vivaldi’s people think it’s the antivirus doing it but I beg to differ: why would an antivirus maker make a program that wipes out a browser? And if it did wipe it out, how come the file eventually returns by itself? (I’ve also put the Vivaldi directory into the exceptions, and that makes no change.)
Firefox is unaffected, so it does seem to be a Chromium thing. I suspect Windows itself.
The following errors can be found in the event viewer around the time of the Vivaldi crash.

I’m putting it here as odds are I’m not alone, and I can’t see much point going to the Microsoft forums because they’ll tell you the same thing about system image repairs. And this, to me, seems like something deeper than that.
