Not many of you have wanted our edition of Nineteen Eighty-Four. Fair enough: the only thing new is a foreword where we acknowledge the influence of Eileen O’Shaughnessy, George Orwell’s (Eric Blair’s) wife. However, our A Farewell to Arms has drifted out the door, as I think some of you would like to read Hemingway with the swear words intact.
Hemingway had to write the swear words back in on copies he gifted to friends; here, we’ve published his book in the form he wanted and had been promised.
