Go for it, Harry

Say what you will about Prince Harry making millions from his book and TV appearances. What if it’s to help fund the destruction of one Keith Rupert Murdoch and News Corp., and save the very fabric of democracy itself in the UK? It’s not going to be cheap, but the dude is out for blood. Check out Michael Tomasky’s story in The New Republic, ‘Rupert Murdoch must be totally and utterly humiliated’. And you get that sense, too, from my piece in Lucire in January.

And Tucker Carlson’s ouster? Lots of theories out there but it might be as simple as leaving Kayarem personally humiliated if he were summoned as a witness in the Dominion case. The boy forgot who paid his salary and who he should have protected.

  1. I’ll never understand all the Prince Harry-hate. I see a young man who puts his wife and children first. Only the tabloid press has turned it into something more – because they can be vicious when called-out for their part in all of it. He’s far from being in line for the throne, and deserves to have his own life and happiness. I only wish the rest of his family had the spine to stand with him instead of driving him to air his grievances so honestly and hurtfully in the book. But what’s the Anne Lamott quotation? “You own everything that happened to you. Tell your stories. If people wanted you to write warmly about them, they should have behaved better.”

  2. You bet. I like the guy and the hate is being generated by the British establishment, including the royal family, and the media. At the moment, he’s more king material than his dad or his brother. In his interviews, he understands his privilege and wants to do right by his family and his country.

    I love that quotation!
